Dostałem niedawno maila od admina pewnego serwera:
Greetings all, Recently there has been a increase in users using the Opera webbrowser, while usually browsers don't impact servers, opera does. QuickFox.org has been recently started to suffer under the large loads of connections from users using the Opera Webbrowser, as their default settings are hammering webservers to retreve data as quickly as possible. While it may seem that this shouldn't really effect the server performence because the bandwith used should be more or less the same, the truth is, it actually is. Opera seems to be making 20 connections at once, filling up most of the webserver threads when just 30 (that is 600 connections) people are connected at the same time using the opera webbrowser (Note: QuickFox gets far more connections from diffrent users at the same time). This making infact our servers slower and actually is even causing less reliability in connections made to the server succesfully. Because of this, QuickFox.org is suspending its website registration services, this means, no new users will be able to signup, however exsisting accounts may continue to operate normally.
